Annual Events

Annual Fruit and Veg Show

The Annual Fruit and Veg Show is a beloved tradition in Boldron, where residents of all ages compete to grow the finest fruits, vegetables, and flowers. This friendly competition highlights the best of our local gardening talent and fosters a sense of community pride.

The event usually takes place in late summer and features categories for everything from homegrown tomatoes to enormous onions. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or a first-timer, it's a fun and rewarding way to get involved.

Prizes are awarded for the best entries in various categories, and the event often includes a plant sale and other activities for attendees.

Annual Photo Competition

The Annual Photo Competition celebrates the beauty of Boldron and its surroundings. Local photographers submit their best shots capturing everything from scenic landscapes to everyday village life.

The competition is open to all ages, and submissions are displayed at a public exhibition. The winning photographs are displayed in the Pinfold Club and over social media channels, with prizes awarded to the best images.

Children's Sports Day

Our Children's Sports Day is a fantastic annual event that brings families together for a day of fun, games, and friendly competition. Held in the summer, the day is packed with traditional sports day activities.

Features sack races, egg and spoon races, tug-of-war, and more! Perfect for children of all ages, with events tailored for different age groups.

Village Clean Up / Litter Pick

The Village Clean Up and Litter Pick is an important annual event that helps keep Boldron beautiful and well-maintained. Residents of all ages come together to tidy up our village, collect litter, and ensure public spaces are clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.

The event usually takes place in the spring, but the spirit of keeping Boldron clean and green is felt year-round. It's a great opportunity to meet neighbours, help improve the local environment, and make a real difference in the community.
