Defibrillator
A public access defibrillator (PAD) is located in the red phone box on the corner by the old pub, near the heart of the village.
This life-saving device is available 24/7 and is registered with the emergency services. In the event of a cardiac emergency, dial 999 – the operator will provide the access code and guide you through how to use it.
The defibrillator is designed to be simple to use with clear voice instructions – no prior training is needed. Local resident Phil offers friendly demonstrations if you'd like to get familiar.

Children's Play Area
The nearest playground for young children is located in Stainmore Close, Startforth – just a short drive or cycle from Boldron.
The play area features swings, a slide, a climbing frame, and an open grass space perfect for running around or kicking a ball. It's ideal for toddlers and younger children.
Best visited during daylight hours – the area is not lit at night, and parking is limited, so walking or cycling is a great option if possible.
Please help keep the area clean and safe by using the bins provided and keeping dogs out of the play zone.
Boldron Village Hall
The Boldron Village Hall hosts a range of activities from social gatherings, Dominoes Drive and fitness activities to live performances.

Village Tool Library
The village is fortunate to have a collection of tools generously gifted by our much-loved and dearly missed resident, Harry. These tools are available to borrow for any local projects or tasks.
