Bins & Recycling
Collection Days
- Household (Green Bin): Collected on alternate Wednesdays, usually starting early (~7:00am). Be sure to put your bin out the night before.
- Garden Waste (Brown Bin): Collected on alternate Tuesdays during the growing season. Requires an annual permit (£38/year for 2025) — Apply online.
- Recycling (Blue Bin): Collected on alternate Wednesdays with the household waste. Accepts cardboard, cans, plastics, and paper. Please ensure items are clean and free of food waste.
- Glass Recycling (Green Tub): Collected on the same day as your blue bin. Rinse bottles and jars before disposal; no lids, window glass, or Pyrex.
Extra Cardboard? Flatten and bundle it neatly next to your bin on collection day.

Winter Daily: 9.00am to 3.30pm

What You Can Recycle:
Household waste, garden waste, electricals (WEEE), batteries, light bulbs, scrap metal, cardboard, paper, plastics, cans, textiles & shoes, limited rubble & plasterboard
Vehicle Rules:
Cars can enter without a permit. Vans, trailers, and pickups require a free permit (Apply here). No commercial or trade waste accepted.
Top Tips:
Sort your waste before visiting to speed things up. Site staff are on hand if you're unsure where something goes. Avoid busy times (weekends & bank holidays) – midweek mornings are quieter.
